Nelson Car Country is looking for a Sales Consultant to join our team! The Sales Consultant provides the Nelson Difference with enthusiasm and excellence to every customer that enters our facility, call us, or communicates via technology.

The Sales Consultant is responsible for the following:

• Providing a memorable and exciting car buying experience for our guests.
• Daily duties for sales
• Sell according to the Nelson Difference Process
• Lot Walk to look at inventory
• Lot walk for trades and purchases
• Follow Up calls from previous day of no buy
• Follow Up calls on people who have bought
• Follow Up calls from preview week of “Be backs”
• Follow Up calls (Qty 25) of people who have bought to remind them of the referral and check in on them. Start with the first three months of sold cars
• Check with Finance on any missing info they need to follow up with to close the deal
• Prepare for appointments
• Constantly checking with customers in the service lounge for test drives, etc
• Greeting every guest using the 10-ft. rule
• Checking inventory for adequate gas levels and damage
• Transfer overflow cars to offsite parking, if applicable
• Making sure there are no open spots in new car inventory
• Lot maintenance
• Showroom floor maintenance
• Maintain manufacturing certifications
• Guest service including gas runs, cleaning cars, placing dealer tags on cars, and vacuuming cars
• Running cars to clients, detail shops, vendors, or body shops as directed by SM/GM
• Nelson Hospitality rules fulfilled
• Uniform
• Desk maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 year college degree preferred
• Excellent Communication/Phone Skills
• Extrovert Personality - Goal driven. Someone who loves setting goals and working in a performance-driven environment.
• Teachable - Must be willing to learn and grow. This job will stretch you and you must be willing (and hopefully excited) to learn and grow in your ability to sell over the phone.
• Demonstrate a professional, enthusiastic, and friendly attitude with any potential client/customer or team member.
• Organized, multi-tasked, self-motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or on individually-assigned tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where superior time-management and prioritization skills are essential and required.
• Extremely Proficient with Internet/Computer Skills
• High standard of integrity - Honest, Capable and Teachable
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment tests to include background checks, drug test, and valid driver’s license.
